Vision Statement
The Children’s Legacy Fund will increase awareness of issues critical to the health and welfare of children by raising funds for use in the Chippewa Valley to support initiatives on behalf of children.
About the Luncheon
The Children’s Legacy Luncheon is an event which creates awareness of special issues regarding the welfare of children in our community and raises funds to help causes related to our children. The Children’s Legacy Luncheon also honors community members who have made important and lasting contributions on behalf of children in the greater Eau Claire area. Each year individuals or couples are recognized for their efforts on behalf and in support of the children of our community.
Honorees are nominated by members of the public and selected by a nomination committee. The selected honorees are recognized at the luncheon with an “Outstanding Achievement Award” presentation, and each is invited to recommend a $500 grant to a local nonprofit organization in our community.
Funding the Future
The major portion of proceeds from the luncheon funds pass-through grants immediately supporting the health and welfare of Children in the Chippewa Valley. The remainder funds the Children’s Legacy Endowment Fund at the Eau Claire Community Foundation. This Fund will continue to support grants to local projects that enhance the well-being of children in our community.
Numerous individuals, organizations and businesses support the Children’s Legacy Luncheon each year and are recognized in all promotional materials. If you or your business or organization would like to be a sponsor for the Luncheon, please contact the Eau Claire Community Foundation.
Donations are also accepted as tributes to the honorees. All sponsorships and tributes will be published in the Luncheon program book.
